You can still run up to a 24" wheel on AWD's but the choices get dramatically slimmer.
Problem I ran across was that LX cars are pretty much all (besides the Rolls Royce Phantom) that can fit that big of an overall wheel diameter with little to no modification. Some TRUCKS can't even hold 24's (Range Rover can't). Add that to the fact that most LX owners have RWD and you'll see why there are alot of wheels for the RWD but not the AWD.
