Here's a thread on LX on how to get the amp and sub to work with your set-up.

And yes the Z1 will be alot easier to connect these goodies to seeing it has a seperate RCA SUB WOOFER out built into it....I'm thinking of upgrading my Eclipse AVN-5435 to the Pioneer Z1 pretty soon myself....Gotta love the storage capabilities of that Z1
