Have had my Halos from the group buy for a while, figured it was time to start the install. Decided to do the Fog Light Halos first, seemed they would be the easiest to do. So far, to make things easier, I have bought a new Dremel tool with acessories, a heat gun, padded gloves, etc. Wanted to be sure the install would go easy.............LOL
Didn't do much today, my son removed the fog's for me. Old dad doesn't bend too easy anymore. First step was to remove the housing from the lenses, not hard - just pried them off with a screwdriver, being careful not to break anything. Removed the bulbs and that rubber breather cap, it just pops off with a little help (push & pry).
Now the fun part, I put a cutoff wheel on the Dremel tool and proceeded to cut off the lense from the housing. My Dremel only has 2 speeds, low and high. I tried both speeds for cutting, high speed worked the best. It kind of cuts and melts the plastic at the same time, due to the high speed. Turned out okay, just knocked off any of the plastic that melted, from the lense and housing.
It's a little warm and humid today (Florida) so I stopped for the day.
To be continued................
Bob

Man, I love the HALO look, but just can't seem to dare that install, very expensive if you break something! I don't seem to have much luck when it come to things like that, I'd break mine for sure. Good luck Bob. Wanna see some pictures when u get'er done! Jim
