Bought twin 8" dvd players for headrests.
Great deal at Sam's club, $189 plus I got 3 years warranty for $39, total with tax was $244.01
Everything is twin, twin screens, twin dvd players, 2 remotes, 2 ac and 2 dc adapter for the house, 2 straps and 1 a/v cable. You can use one or 2 and both are basically portable dvd player, since they both can be plugged in the 110v outlet, so for $189, you get 2 portable dvd players that can be used in the car with straps for the headrest. They don't have an internal battery so you can walk around watching a movie or take it on a plane, but it's still a great deal, and I've been at Sam's club for 2 years, and I've never seen them before, it' a one time deal. RCA is not a great brand, but it's not a crappy brand either, plus I got 3 years of warranty anyway, so it's all good. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by 05 MAG RT; 04-19-2009 at 06:30 PM.. |

thats a really good deal !
I have been looking for something for my car, but I'm not sure if I want portable ones or molded into the headrests. Let us know how they hold up... and... if your going to do any modding to them. |

How could I anyway?????????????
I don't wanna mess up my headrests, plus I want to be able to use them in my wife's car and take them with me, and I'll only use them a few times a year, so they won't stay in the car with all that heat. I was about to get these: Pyle 7" but I prefer the ones I can switch from one car to another, I didn't want anything permanent as I won't be using them much anyway, plus I like the Sam's club warranty, no hassle with them. good deal! our 10.5" widescreen portable DVD player is perfect for the long road trips. fits snuggly in-between the front seats and blends in really well as it's flat black in color with chrome buttons ..... lol. I just plug the headset jack into my FM modulator and the sound plays clearly through the speakers; especially the subwoofer!
keeps the kids entertained and quiet and when they pass out during the drive, my wife just brings it up front and watches a movie for herself.Last edited by TheWraith; 07-30-2008 at 03:14 PM.. |

I also have a 10" portable, but I wanted twin DVD players with straps so that they would be right in front of the rear passengers, plus with twin DVD players, each can watch their own movie.

Nice... your passengers will appreciate the twin monitors no matter how old or young they are.
