Amp Question..

I have a 100 watt, 4ch. bridgeable amp + crossover, can the stock speakers handle it or do i need to get better ones?

The current speakers should handle it but you won't get as clear sound as you would if you upgrade. Once you "Crank" it up it will distort for sure.

The stock speakers will def handle it. However, it is nice to upgrade to better speakers such a some 3 way 6x9s. The problem is that most speakers out there will require modification in some way. I have seen some Alpine and Pioneer 6x9s fit right into the housing with no modification so upgrade to those if you dont want to make risers and that sort of stuff. Otherwise, i would recommend Infinity 3.5s up front and the Infinity Kappa 6x9s. Infinitys get insane loud and have a nice mix of clarity and bass. Heres a site for Infinity if you ever wanted to upgrade.

I used the Alpine speaker kit with mine and no mods were necessary. Even the tweeters in the front dash fit right into place. The system sounds great with an Alpine dual channel, cross over, 500 watt amp. and 12 inch woofer. I'm sure your 100 watt amp. would work great with this speaker kit. I know you may not want to spend on upgrading the speakers but the stock speakers (at least mine) are built on a plastic frame and the sound quality was limited for sure.

Hey SilverMaggie how r you doing? as 4 me, I'm runnin all my stocks and they'r handling excellent the only thing I did was change my dash radio to a Kenwood and added 2 12" JBL's in a box in the back, of course with a 1500 watt and a 1.7 Fared capacitor and my stuff bangs just fine for me, at first it was making my lights dim every time the bass hits but I just got a better battery now its cool. Just make sure u don't let just anybody hook up u'r stuff, get it done right the first time or it's gonna hit u'r pocket even more later on down the road. LATER GIRL

Ok, I am going to attempt to do this myself!! I have the amp kit, 2 Sony Explode 6x9's for the back, and I have a bass tube but not sure how i'm going to fit it in and still have enough space in back to load work stuff..
I made a copy of the amp install instructions ( Thank You Peybella!) so I think I can do this!
