2008 Magnum SE Speaker choices?
Hi, I'm new to the forum and modding as well.
I was wondering what are the best speakers I can fit in a 2008 Magnum SE; that comes with the unbranded 4 Speaker setup of course. I'm looking for something easy to install that would fit with no hassle and high endish. I heard Alpines, but which ones? Or are there higher end speakers that would fit easily as well? I think I'll go for 3-way speakers since I don't think I'll install separate tweeters or sub woofer, perhaps an amplifier later on if it help but I'm trying to avoid any drastic changes or wiring. Any suggestions? Thanks for the opinions in advance! Last edited by mabco; 08-17-2008 at 02:32 PM.. |

Welcome to the family! Best thing would be to head out to your local shop and listen to the sound with your favorite types of music to get a feel for what sounds right to you! Asking a question like "what speakers are good" will yield TONS of opinions!

Thanks for the reply =) I'm also looking for something that I can install myself with no modding on all 4 speaker spots. I'm not sure if the 2008 Magnum has less space in those speaker pockets for any reason? I don't see the Kicker upgrade kit available for the 2008 model, only 2007....so that had me thinking a bit.
Glad to be here! |

My personal experience no audio brand are bad is really depedning on what kinda of sound you want. If you like rock i recommand DIAMOND AUDIO...crystal clear sound. If you love bass 3 choice KICKERS,MTX or FOSGATE. Out of the 3 Kickers doesnt last long versus MTX and FOSGATE. If you have the money Get JL AUDIO

Uhm if you are looking to replace the speakers you will notice with the factory amp/head you will have clearer sounds (highs forsure and mids) but alot of your bass will be lost on the higher RMS speakers since it just doesnt have as much power to move the woofer.
I would plan on adding an amp eventually and you will need a wiring harness (Best buy has em so does crutchfield) for installing on the factory wire harness. I have a pair of pioneers and i have yet to see any speakers that when propely powered dont sound "good" |
