Ok so im replacing my factory Kicker amp out of my SRT and I have 6 speakers, so I need a 6 CH amp. Im also taking out my HU and doing the CarPC so I HAVE to have them all to a amp and cant wire in my 3" in the dash to my HU. So what are my options guys?? I already have a Planet Audio 900W Mono amp for my sub that im mounting in my custom set up in the rear and I would REALLY REALLY like to have matching amps. What are your guys ideas? If I wire in the dash speakers to the doors it will blow them I would think. Anything else short of buy a 4Ch and a 2CH amp? Thanks for your guys help!!

5-channel amps are hard to find also. Why not run separate amps? Since sub amps will only be used for a low range, run an additional amp(s) for your subs. You will be able to use the bass boost function on amps without affecting the full range speakers, eliminate a single point of failure, and have a much clearer sound across the spectrum.
Is your carputer an aftermarket deck or a fabricated factory deck? |

I understand. You may be able to run a passive crossover for your front speakers tying the dash and door speakers together. For example, you will have a crossover for the door speaker and the dash speaker. If your amp has line outs, you may be able to run a small amp for highs only.

i would just run a 4 chan / 5 chan for the front doors and side panels and then a 2 chan for the dash speakers. Makes more sense to me since your 3.5s and 6x9s will probably have radically different RMSes (unless you got some 3.5s that will accept alot ~70)
This would be how i would do it since it would give you many more options with the control. I would run the power to the 2 chan up front so you dont have to wire the speakers too far and it would probably fit nicely up front. Then have the bigger amp in the rear. Remember to wire power on one side and audio on the other side! |

^^^ If you do this you will end up getting a mono signal for your dash speakers. Wiring them like this will interfear with how stereo mixed music will sound. I can't tell you how "bad" it may sound but if it were me I wouldn't want to have mono speakers on both the left and right of the car.
I good idea might be to run a 4channel amp and if it is a decent one it will have a signal pass through which you can wire a second smaller 2channel amp just for yout dash speakers. Just a thoguh, what if you run the front door speakers and off of those run the dash speakers but put a Potentiometer ("volume knob") in between them so you can control volume to the 3.5's. . . not sure how it would function but it might be an option to look into. EDIT: On second thought the potentiometer thing won;t work as they are mainly designed to function with line level signals. . . unless they make some to handle an amplified signal.
