help with stock radio and amp hook up

Hello,

I have a 06 SE Magnum and I didn't want to get a aftermarket radio right away but I wanted my amp which is a 1000 watt MTX and my Kicker 12in Sub installed. I had a friend install it in my car. It work fine for about 2 months. Know here is the problem the stock radio goes in and out. And the lights on the dash flicker. I took the car into the shop and they told me that the wiring was jacked up. I took the car back to my friend but he doesn't know how to fix the problem. Can anybody please help me

dubdeuce is just warmin' up!
If your magnum has factory dash speakers then you have a factory amp, it is located under the steering wheel next to the e- brake, it will have two downward facing plugs, you can wire in there or just pop out the rear speakers and wire in there. behind the radio you only have line level outputs and you will not get a good signal, he may have wired into the radio mux wire for a remote turn on, best to go to the cig lighter for a remote on or to the ignition harness and fuse it independantly.
