Speakers for 07 Mag SE

I just had a question about speakers for a mag 07.

I probally will try to get some but im just scouting for information but everything I have now is stock and If I turn my sound up really loud and turn the bass up to 9 it sounds good I hear some poping here or there i can't tell if its the speaker or the actual mp3 cause i don't hear it when I play cd's or play the radio. Anywho I wanted to keep my stock radio and get new speakers.

I like to listen to my speakers loud I want more base but I don't want to king kong it and I have kids so i kinda don't want a woofer behind there seat and I need my trunk space. What should I be looking for when I buy speakers?

I would say just buy some quality 6x9s to replace the factory speakers, they will increase the sound, and make it more crisp. as far as the popping sound you hear with the mp3 player, mp3 players play louder than cds and the radio, atleast i think they do

the popping is the speaker over extending just remember the SE was built for 6.5 up front

But when I get the new speakers will that fix that poping noise? Or will I have to get a new radio?

the popping noise has nothin to do with the radio, just like bigal said its the speakers overextending, so with the new speakers you will get a higher volume without pushin the new speakers to their limit-making them pop. if that makes sense

*** If the speakers get the correct voltage. Using stock Headunit + Stock amp you probably will not notice as much quality from say an alpine R series (Sound Great when powered correctly) as you will with stock amp + head unit (prob wont even move the woofer = less bass for sure)

I would advise an amp in the long run if you want the fidelity and strong sound

You could get speakers only for the mean time but be sure not to get more than 50 rms max
