Alpine type R opinions

I have the opportunity to purchase the R series from Alpine directly from them and wanted opinions .. I plan on getting 2 component sets and 2 10" subs as well as 2 amps...

I can get this stuff unbelievably cheap straight from Alpine so I am considering it..

LMK opinions..

I had type R 6.5 Components and 6x9's in my Blazer and loved them. Make sure you amp them though. I heard they aren't that great if you don't have an amp to them.

lol can you get some sets for others? Was looking at getting a couple but the price tag was a little steep

I have them in my car and love them.

Keep in mind that magnums have factory 6X9s in the front so you might want to get 2 pairs of 6x9s insted of 6x9s and 6.5s

Mine has 6.5 stock in front but i replaced em with some pioneers. The 4 speaker set up typically has 6.5s front and 6x9s rear

type r are not bad subs... put in the right box they are amazing... if u do get them let me know... i have a box design from them that will blow your mind...

Ill check to see how much i can order...I am considering using the pocket sub enclosures cause I cant lose that space back there...

I have infinity reference 6x9's in there now...I am going to do 6.5 comp set in each door and 2-10's in the rear..Im not sure what amps yet..

I used Alpine amps with mine and they sounded great. Seems to me that Alpine likes Alpine. I may be selling my amps if you're interested. The 4 channel one is used but I have a mono that is new in the box.

Hey Bay Area Magnum, I would be highly interested if you could get some Type R subs or speakers as well... Only if possible.
