Double din nav/dvd and Headrest questions

Hello all. I want to install a double din nav/dvd along with headrests in my maggie the questions i have is that. Is there a unit out there or is it possible to have the nav display on the headunit but videos displaying on the headrest while you are driving?

To achieve that you MUST get a dual-zone HU (Head Unit) so it displays one thing on the HU and somethin different on other monitors. I would also very strongly suggest a video amp. I got a Directed one for my 4 screens. Hope that helps bro.

I got external DVD players and a 3 in, 4 out A/V switch box. That way I can have normal function as well as video up front, and the kiddies in back can actually watch 2 different things....

hemilover that is a sweet set up. what brand are those headrest monitor and do they match up with the factory gray well? so can you hear sound from them headrest threw the car speakers with that set up.
what are examples of a dual-zone headunit? I really like the mygig NAV/DVD player is this a dual-zone?
I am going to play most of my videos from my ipod not a dvd will I still need a dual-zone headunit?
Sorry these may sound like dumb questions but i dont know much about car audio.

Sorry I dont know much about the dual zone head units, but yes the sound in my system plays through the stereo using an aux in/ipod adapter from peripheral electronics (CHYP I believe). The headrests are Innovatek, found them on ebay for $150 (open bidding and everyone was asleep...usually more). The gray matches almost perfect.... noticed a slight shade difference when I got them but it doesnt bother me at all now
