MagnificentlyWhite is just warmin' up!
What should I do HU wise?

Here's my options.

I have the factory Nav system with the Boston premium sound.

From my Blazer I have an Alpine IVA-w505
It's nice... but needs another device that costs $600 to have navigation. Plus I've read that the navigation isn't really good.

I can get a mygig, but I want to install all new speakers and amps. How good are line out converters? I used to install about 9 years ago and back then they sucked.

I can go with this
Kenwood eXcelon DNX8120 In-Dash DVD Players (with monitor) In-Dash Head Units/Receivers - Sonic Electronix

But it's a bit pricey.

So opinions are welcome

I am using a mygig RER to power 4 quality aftermarket 6x9s with a line level converter off the rear speakers for my amp and sub. I just used a cheapy scoshe (or however it is spelled) and it works just fine. I'm not going to win any sound comps, but it is clear at max volume on the mygig and louder than I would normally ever listen to it.

The amp I have for my speakers is a 4CH. Then adding a sub would mean I need another channel. Anyone know if there is a way to do this?

I'm running 2 amps. 1 for my 6x9's and 1 for my subs.
Know I'm not much help...

Actually the line level converter I used is a 4 channel. You either have to add another split somewhere for the sub. I'd use a rca split after the converter.

Make sure you price out the mygig, any lockpick adapter, line level converters and everything. You might not be too far off the price of the Kenwood you listed, especially if you do not do the install your self.
