Amp feedback probles
Has anyone else had problems with feedback (that annoying high pitched noise that changes pitch with the alternator/rpms)?
There is no problems with the amp and the rca and pwr cables are run away from each other. It may be as simple of fix as moving the rca cables to the other side of the car and double checking grounds (being done this weekend). But I was wondering if the proximity to the battery had any effect on it. Thoughts? |

most likely a ground issue. i just installed 2 amps in my car and i'm also having a ground issue. and i cant seem to fix it either. if you do get it fixed let me know where you grounded it. my amps are in the false floor thingy and grounded with a selftapping screw right to the floor of the car right there. i've triedj ust about everything that my ground will reach and still getting the same buzz and all of them are worse than where i have it now.

I grounded the amps right to the battery. and ran the rca's down the drivers side instead of the passenger side (i found out the main pwr cable is on the right side
) i still had to use ground loop filters but i got it to the point i can't hear it while driving and only when there isn't music to mask the sound. I'm going to end up getting alpine's processor and run fiber optic from the head unit so it's only a temporary thing anyway.try running the cables up the middle and double check the ground on your head unit or grounding the rca's right to the head unit I hope this helps, let me know if you figure it out without filters on the amp side |
