Keeping the sides how they are and just adding a panel the largest you can go is 10" and maybe a handful of 12s would take some extended forms or modified side pods to get anything bigger. (This is what i thought i read atleast)
Gotta have some cubic air space (The 10s only get a cubic foot or so of air if i remember correctly with mounting and the speaker in there)
under the rear floor, hands down. do NOT mount them on the back of the seats.... that negates any usefulness at all of ever putting the seats down.... plus you put holes in your seatbacks!
Go under the rear floor. ps. if you need some speakers I have quite a few component 6.5's sitting around.
If you aren't making extremely long road trips, you can mount the IN the back seats. You will have to pull the plate off to mount the amps inside and shave some of the stuffing out. no one will ever see your amps so you will be in good hands. Just make sure you make all of the necessary adjustments before mounting them in there. The rear seat frame can be used for heat disappation also.
