Dual Alternator Set-up

If any one is interested in doing a dual alternator set-up in the magnums that includes the kit belt and a 240a alternator.... Let me know... Just trying to see if any one is interested....

interesting maybe you can break down the setup a little more.. just interested on how you would get it to work with all the restrictions in the magnums electrical system... it would be easy to setup a second alternator with its own voltage regulator and separate batteries for all the goodies..

hello bigal if you remember we spoke about this a while back n w wrangler sells the set up and i would regulate the alt externally from the system however their are control kits that are available bigg boy and i have had a few talks about this

I talked to my "regulator guy" he can build us custom basically harness's that will let us run both alts at the same voltage and everything....

Basically it will regulate the stock alt then it will mimic the same thing that is going from the stock alt to the 2nd alt.... and he can also make them so they are switch able so we can switch from 14.4v-14.6v to 14.9v-15.1v

Every one who is interested please let me know, so I can figure out a final price for this...

and if you guys want I can see If i can order us some 1/0 wire and ring terminals so you have every think you'll need...

So what you would get is the dual alt bracket, belt, a second 240a alt, the regulator to run both of the alts correctly, 1/0 to upgrade the home runs to the back (your gonna need it) and ring terminals.... and I think thats it...

I'm not looking to make any money what so ever on this... I am just looking to try to orgize this and basically have every one help everyone else out buy ordering more then one so the price goes down for all
