2006 SXT magnum stereo install

Hello, my brother has an 06' SXT and he picked up a stereo for me to install.

Whats the best installation kit for these vehicles? With the factory stereo design it doesnt seem like a generic kit would look nice.

Also what harness do i need??

u really dont need an install kit... u just need some wire and and the install stuff (ygpm)

as far as installing the deck, dont waste your money on the expensive harness, just get the cheap generic one, and tape in to the cigarette lighter plug as a acc....

The deck that i'm installing in his car is this pioneer:

My only concern for the install is the issue of the volume/tune knob areas on the dash. Does the install stuff cover this up:

I dont belive it does, I think you well still have the holes from the old knobs

The proper kit fills in the holes left by the stock volume/tune knob and in my opinion the end result looks nice and clean.

I don't eve have a wiring harness just the antenna adapter.

go buy a dash kit from cartoys or any car electronic store.. they run about 20 bucks or less.. they fit into the factory opening with the "knob holes" being filled up, just like that picture..
