before i break something question!
2005 2.7, want replace factory stereo with another since mine crapped out on me, how do you remove the damn thing?? be nice i am not a mechanical know all. any help would be great.

The bezel just pops out, start down by the ash tray and work your way up, you may need to disconnect the hazard/pass air bag light/rear wiper controls. After the bezel is removed it's just a matter of removing 4 screws and disconnecting the wire harness & antenna from the head unit.

you WILL have to remove the harness for the hazard button strip. You can get it out one of two ways, like karl said pop open the ash trey and there is enough of a lip there to start putting a little outward pressure on. OR you can tip the upper vents up, reach in there and start at the top. They are not strong clips holding it in, so it should be fairly easy to remove. Radio removal is obvious once you get the bezel out
