Install tips and tricks?

I need to extend my front speaker wires and also run din cables from my dash mounted crossover all the way back...I know sounds like fun... basically I want to see how you guys are doing it...Driver side? Passenger side? Any problems?

Also since I will be running three amps what are my best options for power will a cap be good enough? New Battery? Second Battery?

Here is a list of my equipment it will be way over kill for the speakers im running but better to have way more power then not enough...

Precision Power
PPI PEQ-114 - Equalizer
PPI OMX-432 - Crossover
PPI 4100AM - 4 x 25 Highs
PPI 4200AM - 4 x 50 Mids
PPI 2150AM - 2 x 150 Bass

And last on my list is designing boxes for the rear I want to run two ten inch subs maybe eights anyone build there own?? What are you running?

Thanks guys.......and dont forget lets vote Jill for mag of the month

soon to be

Bigal, I ran the rca"s down the drivers side, the passenger side has the remote turn-on lead.I am running four-10s which sound great for all types of music in my opinion.Good luck with your system!! Above all have fun!!

congrats!!car looks great!
hey to answer a couple of your questions, driver side is a good route to run your wires down, once you pull the carpet back there is a chase(pocket)that runs the length of the car to the back seat i would use twisted pairs for your rca's and run more than you need for future upgrades(surround sound) or (parametric eq's) try to seperate dont tape your remote power to these wires there isnt alot of noise over that control wire it's just a good rule of thumb. your battery should be good being that these amps are pretty efficient although being at about six hundred watts you'll need a 1 farad cap at the least and if the amps will except it run 4 awg distributed to them.as far as subs go im a fan of 8's they typically cant handle big power but they fit in tight spaces and they play pretty accuratly, depends on what your looking for if want spl go for 10's/12's ,tight and accurate 8's ,my current set up is 400 watts to 4 8's in 2.20cf and it has the ability to sound like a single 15''. I found these subs on ebay buy 1 gget 1free for 40 a pr. shipped so all for of the subs cost me 80 bucks (planet audio p-80) well good luck hope this helps got any questions hit me up.
