6 speaker Boston Acoustic Question?

When i bought my Mag in '06 i didn't pay to much attention on the dealer sheet. So i'm not to sure if all the 6 speaker systems come with an amp? I want to install a new head unit so i need to know if i could by pass the whole wiring harness or is it ok to add an adapter without interfering with stock amp (if it has one)??????????

Here ya go...this is what you need to run an aftermarket head unit through the factory amp and speakers:

Thanks HemiLover, but how would i know if i have an amp with my 6 speaker system? Should i speak with the dealer who i bought the car from - hopefully they would remember what was equipped in my Magnum.

If you have the 6 speaker Boston system you do have a factory amp, which is located under the dash near the steering column. It should be a silver box about the size of a VHS tape?

If it is 6 speaker Boston, it has an amp located under the dash near the stearing column.
