steering wheel controls

im about to toss a new head unit into the ol' dash but one of the fellas at the local sound shop was sayin that my audio controls on the wheel would no longer work. anyone come across this problem? and beyond that, anyone got a reccomendation for a DIN+1/2 head unit without the dvd and nav screen for 500 duckets or less? little help?

The shop was correct, if you put an aftermarket unit in your LX then you will loose the steering wheel controls....BUT here's how you get those controls back.

also try salelectronics on ebay (they're local to me so I just went and picked my items up)I just bought a kenwood unit with ipod adapter, harness and dash kit for about 300.00.for my sebring..this unit also can add a bluetooth adapter if you want...

I also bought my other kenwood unit (DNX7100) from them also...it is a double din nav, touchscreen, blah blah for alot less than it cost in the store. Great company and good prices.
