Umm sure hahah, Apline PKG-1000 10.2" DVD roof monitor. Did a new post in the magnum section. F'd up too, you can read about it there. The dirty SOBs at Alpine came out with an Indash 2DIN DVD monitor/player now. $200 cheaper than what I paid for the Kenwood. The PKG-1000 has plaer controls on it and I think it will control the Dash unit. Supposed to be getting about $1400 back from the IRS so I think I know where it is going. Soooo I guess not hahahaha.

I think I am going to start on my system in the next week or so.
I have 1 15" PowerBass Sub and a 400watt AutoTek amp, I didnt want to go this route because its big and I'm wanting to go with a smaller system. It sounds great but I think a 15 is to slopy. I want either two 8's or two 10's to put into the side pockets on the Magnum but since I cannot get them sold I'll just stick with what I have. I'll try to get progress pictures and more posted along the way. I have to get some stuff done to the wifes car before I can start on mine.

I agree with you on the "slow" bass of the 15". See if it specs for a sealed box. Sealed will give you the tightest bass and be a smaller box.

I had two of them in a sealed box in the back of a Cavalier at one point, but I got a flat tire, and seeing how it took three people to put that box in there, I had to try to move it all myself and my amp feel and put a hole in one of the subs, nothing big but a buddy bought it so I only have one now and I put it in a ported box.

SPANKYSPL is just warmin' up!
In all fairness to 15" woofers, they can sound great. The problem most times is people lack the power to properly control them. I had a TREO SSI 15" woofer (sealed) running off of a ZAPCO Reference 1100.1, and it was among the best sounding single woofer set-ups I have ever owned. This had more control and volume than the conventional 12" vented set-ups TREO offers in the "STREETBOX" line.

More and more I am impressed by the Treos, If I hadnt gotten the SPL bug, I would have kept the sealed version. But when the "speakerbox god" at Metro did his magic(comp program), and said the is a 9.98db gain at 38hz, he wasnt joking. Before the car would vib a lil bit on the 40-30hz track, but now it seems like the whole car is going to fall apart haha. Can we sing "A soundproofing we go".

I agree SpankySPL, just my opinion 15's are sloppy. I have done many installs and have setup a few cars that have taken home trophys ranging from 1st to 5th place in SPL, non that have had a 15 yet, all were 10's and 12's.
