Universal Touchscreen System!!

I'm attempting to customize my dash. I would like to have a 9 inch touchscreen monitor that accesses controls for stereo, DVD, navigation sys, air suspension w/ electronic gauges. etc etc..

So basically one universal system, (no knobs) 1 screen. I'm assuming I would need one main central hub w/ operating sys software to connect all the components to.

Sounds like old technology and I'm sure it's been done. I'm just looking for the right way to get it done ONCE or check out some Operating Systems already designed to do the job.

im looking to do the same thing. im looking into 'drive soft' its a computer... as seen on MTV & such.... i think i posted here before asking where do i get the monitor though. what kind & what price should i expect? im looking though. if i find something i'll let u know

Something like this maybe. I have the 10in touch screen. Worth every penny and i received it in like 3-4 days..

Wow just realized i didn't post the link.I bought the 10in screen and im waiting on my software to arrive. My friend had it hooked up in his M45 using his carputer and it works great. The picture on the screen is GREAT. I would get some kind of pen to touch the screen. The finger prints will annoy you really fast.I'm taking the screen off the stand and i will try to mold it into the dash. I'm trying to make it look stock.
