    Had a question about this

    So what is that mod?

Does it effect back seat monitors if you have any hooked up to the unit?

with a monetary switch. all have to do is hook it to a ground and when you hit the switch the unit thinks that is it in park. that is how it works with this unit. will have to test with other units. just check the parking break switch to see if ti is a groung or hot and then follow the wiring dio.

I have the AVH-P4100DVD and love it. I have a few gripes that I hope helps weigh your decision. 1st-When the screen flips down to inserting a cd/dvd it tends to hit the top of the frame that surrouns the unit (its a very small frame so I just removed it which fixed the problem and it still looks pretty sweet). 2nd-The unit come with a USB cable so you can pug in a portable thumb drive/external hard drive, but if you purchase the iPod cable you can no longer use the USB cable supplied with the unit because the take up the same port in the back of the unit. 3rd-A simple gronding of the parking break wire is not enough to trick the unit so you can watch dvd's as you drive, but instead need to install a bosch relay and you're good to go (youtube has a video on this)
Other that these 3 issues I had, this deck is simply amazing and worth every penny.
If you really REALLY want pics let me know, I also have the ipod in ashtray doc from Specdock and everything together works and looks amazing.
