Has anyone tried to put a pioneer avic d1 or d2 in a magnum

I want to put one in but need some help on install?? Im new i just bought me a magnum i love it just want tips on car audio. I already put infinity components with an amp i just wnt to put the d1 or d2 with the navigation to make it look clean.

Here are some threads to pretty much explain it
New headunit wiring
New headunit hookup
wiring diagrams of the stock radio systems
Stereo wiring diagrams
now this one can be a different couple of ways
Trim the bottom a lilbit and use a metra install kit to fill the holes.

or smoothing out the gaps of using a aftermarket kit.
Install DDin DVD Bezel in stock Stereo Bezel

I dont want to have to cut the factory bezel to much on the pioneer it is pretty close to fitting factory i might have to trim a little bit. I want it to look like factory. Please give any imput?

Just go slow and take off a lil bit at a time, my original install all i had to do was about 1/16"

hi i installed a pioneer avic-z1 in my 05 magnum. i went to the dealer and bought a factory stock navi bezel. then i went to ciruit city ordered a navi install kit by metra special ordered part# 996510. price is $19.99. that will cover that open gaps around the radio. and that will make it look like factory look. better than paying $150 to $250 th have a custom shop make one. my pioneer looks so sweet. this radio is better than the flip up that blocks the ac vents

The Magnums with navigation that I have seen have 4 knobs for the HVAC system. Climate control I'm guessing. Do the reliefs for the 4 knob bezel match the 3 knob bezel, or would you have to get the 4 knob controls to go with it?
