Just wondering how accurate sound level meter apps are compared to a physical sound meter. I really don't feel like spending anything and I know there are price ranges from $10s of dollars to $100s of dollars for a sound meter. I downloaded Sounder Meter (Smart Tools) for Android for free. Just curious if anyone has both and has ever done a comparison for accuracy. Testing at the front windshield, my set up is ringing in at about 93 dB which seems kind of low. When I had a different much larger set up in a truck I pushed 137 dB at a show, but they measured with some fancy tool. I don't think this system can compare to that but am just curious what my current system is at...I also found several charts with different info on dB levels and what they compares too. Thoughts?
