Hey guys and gals, I am looking to purchase an in-dash dvd player/Navigation unit and need some input.
I have been looking at the Pioneer AVIC-D3
and the Panasonic Strada CN0NVD905U ...
if anyone has experience with either of these two units your input would be greatly appreciated.
I have been leaning to the panasonic because it features a hard-drive based navigation system rather than a dvd based. I should mention that I do not want to spend more than $1000 plus tax
If these are your only two options....i'd go with the Panasonic. I went with the Kenwood DNX7100 because it was hard drive based!!! Plus the Panasonic has a better Ipod integration than the Pioneer D3 in my opinion!
go with the MYGIG upgrade, its easy to install, as long as you have the base audio system
Nitrous is like a hot girl with an STD.You know what will happen if you hit it, but you still want to!
If your wanting to spend less than $1000 I'd go with the pioneer, I bought mine and it came with a remote, bluetooth adapter, & IPOD adapter for $750. PIONEER AVICD3 Receiver Plus CDIB200, CDBTB200, & CDR55

Thanks for the input guys, I decided to go with the Panasonic unit. I am going to install it this weekend and will post a review in a week or two.

I am pulling my hair out trying to get my hands on a dash kit for this thing. Everyone says that they have never seen this dash kit and I am going to need to fabricate my own. So I get the metra part number (from a previous thread) and now I am told it is a special order kit.
I called about 15 stores in the past few days looking for a metra 99-6510 and ended up empty handed. So it looks like I wont be installing this on Sat... oh well there is always next weekend.
On a side note, where have you guys been installing the ant for the nav units... in the dash, on top of the dash, on the roof?
Good luck with the install. I know you would be happy with whichever one you chose!
