Double Din Head Unit in 2007 Magnum

Hey All,

I just wanted to pose a question that I was just told is not possible to do. I have a 2007 Magnum SXT with the factory CD/Radio installed. I want to install a Double Din(DD) size head unit but was told by a sales associate that it will not fit in the opening in the dash. Does anyone know or has anyone installed a DD size head unit in a 2007 magnum sxt? If so does it fit ok? Alot of custom work to fit it? I am assuming I would either have to modify or buy a new bezel around the radio. Any info would be appreciated!!

Just need a new (or modified) bezel -- if you pull off the bezel you can see there's plenty of room in there!

As MadDad stated, all you need is the Navigation Bezel. I purchased mine on ebay for $35.00. Shop around ebay for the best price. Once I put the navigation bezel, I was able to put in my double din Kenwood without any problems! Here's is one on ebay now:

Thanks for the info!! I like the custom job jammin. Real nice. It appears that the nav bezel from the ebay listing cuts out the little cubby slot under the ac/heater controls. I guess you have to move the controls down to get the extra room above to fit the DD head unit? Guess there is factory holes a little lower to move the controls down for the Magnums with factory Navs installed? Thanks again for info, greatly appreciated!!

Nothing moved just the hole cut out. A far as I know, the controls are in the same place for the NAV and the non NAV. I never really paid much attention haha

I think the A/C controls sit a little bit lower when used with the OEM Nav bezel. Check mine out:
