Magnum Stereo Upgrade questions
So as spring gets closer, I'm getting ready to start upgrading my car. It's a 2006 R/T, with the factory navigation and factory speakers. I like the way everything sounds, but I want some low end kick. I've been thinking about getting a premade enclosure, like the one JL makes or artofnoizeaudio.com makes, simply because they look very clean and stay relatively hidden. Does anyone on here use an enclosure like these? And if so, what do you think of it? Do you think I will have an issue with the sub over powering the factory setup? Do you think there is a better way for me to go? I want it all to be mostly hidden, I don't want a sub box just sitting in the cargo area. Feel free to drop me any suggestions. Also, I have been out of car audio for probably 10 years. Back then the world revolved around kicker. I'm not looking for crazy bass, but something super clean. Any suggestions on sub brand? Thank you

I would go with the side pocket box............the JL Audio i havent heard but if they make it im sure it sounds good since its a single ten dont think it will over power the rest of the system you can always add a level control so you can adjust how loud or how much of a signal it will get...art of noise is great they will make the box to what sub you want to use.....
Kicker is still around i dont think they are as good as they were back then in my opinion nothing compares to the old school still water design Kicker stuff... as for subs I would go with a JL Audio 10W3 it only takes about 300 watts so it will not be to loud but it will pack a punch or maybe something from RE Audio im running the 10SE which hits pretty hard... |

I love kicker myself. If your trying to be heard then I would use kicker...but, not their cheap stuff either...L7s...1 12in with the right amp will definitely rock some panels...but its sounds loose. At work we have a wall of subs...Diamond Audio D6's have some great clean bass and they havent gone commercial like the rest of audio market.
