    1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

fyi ^^^ that diagram is of the 300c much more involved in the mag

the dash takes 3.5 inch speakers

here is a quick step by step
1)remove a pillar covers - be careful doing this once the top pops out it has a little clip you need to remove from behind if you pull to hard you will break it
2)remove heat defuser - this is the long plastic thing along the window its held on by the same snap clips as everything else on the dash once you have it off make sure all the clips are on the defuser before you put it back on it will make it easier to install and help make sure you dont have any rattles
3)run wire to stereo - with the top of the dash off and the stereo out this is easy you can also remove the under dash covers to make it even easier.
    4)connect + & - wires to the speaker
5)install speaker - they usually only take two screws
6)splice wires into front speaker leads - do a search for the wiring diagram dont have it handy
    7) \re install your stereo and crank up the tunes

    more dash speaker questions

I have the 6-speaker Boston acoustics system and it appears the amp is integrated into the 6-CD changer head unit (which is a bummer since I wanted to add a pre-amp equalizer while still using the stock head unit, but now can't).

Anyway, I wanted to add a pair of tweeters, but have no idea which wires coming from the back of the head unit are the dash speakers (which is where I'd tap in).

Does anyone know if the dash speaker wires come from the large connector or the small one that's next to it, and what the colors are for right and left positive and negative?

    Thanks a million,

    Chris

Well I was able to run the wires without help, I used a metal coat hanger and tied speaker wire to it and ran it right up to the holes took about 10 min. Im so glad I did it

Nice going, vmax-boy, I have the boston acoustics system, but it may be different from yours, as I dont have a 6-CD changer with my system. The way my system works is that I believe it has +&- wires going to the back of the head unit and a few others for Front left, Front right, Rear left and rear right. Then those wires lead into the factory amp which I have come across in my modding days and that is under the steering wheel, behind the plastic knee guard and then behind a metal guard sits the factory amp. If I were to install tweeters, it'd be from there, but again, our set up is probably really different if you have the 6 CD changer
