well i have a question. what is the difference between a wood sub box VS a fiber glass box. Now think of this, what about a aluminum solid welded sub box???? im trying it, what do you think is going to happen?????

I think wood is definitely the way to go. There are lots of woods with good resonant qualities. Fiberglass doesn't really do anything for sound quality, but it's easy to make a form fitting shape for all kinds of installs. aluminum would sound like you where trying to listen to music through mud..........I'd stay far far away from that

since plywood is porous, fiber glass is air tight, you would get a cleaner resonating sound out of the fiber glass enclosure than a wood one... although MDF seems to be the better, less expensive route if your leaning towards fiberglass. Any kind of metal will ring at certain frequencies.
