I need help!!
Ok, heres what i have, (see link) Dual Electronics - In-Dash Mobile Video - XDVD8181
I also have a Boss 1600 watt amp, Boss Ripper 10" sub. I've also replaced the front and rear speakers w/ Boss speakers. I orginally had the everything hooked up to the factory radio, which sounded great but I wanted an in-dash dvd player. After I installed the new head unit the front speakers sound like s**t, the two rear speakers sound fine (i ran new speaker wire to them), which leads me to believe there is a factory amp and i'm gonna have to run new speaker wire to the front speakers, is this so? Also, I can't get the dvd player to work. I know this is because the safety wire isn't attached to the parking break. What I wanted to know, can this wire just be grounded to make it work? If not, and I do have to attach it to the parking break, How and where do I do that? **edit** DVD player problem solved! Thanks in advance for your help! There are 3 different audio systems, even without Boston system there is still an amp if you have dash speakers, the factory amp is located under the driver's side of teh dash and is easy to by pass, also I saw Metra is offering an amp bypass harness for LX platforms, haven't used one yet, always make my own.
