the ground on the amps . is it better in the battery or the ground of the car .why i ask cause i got the cables hanging from the battery who ever had my car before i think had a system in it so .. please help im trying to save some buck by doing it myself and getting to know my car..

the battery is fine, but you better upgrade the wire from the battery to it grounding spot it's like 8 guage if your going to run amps thru it it should all be 4 gauge. you might want to add an inline fuse to the ground for added protection....

It truly depends on your setup...
if your battery is up under the hood (everyone grounds it to the car because 1st) less wire and 2nd) its less resistance or voltage drop. if your battery is in the rear like magnums, bmw, etc...its best to ground it to the battery...less chance for ground loops and noise. |
