Amp Suggestions
So.
I currently have two 10" cadence beastmaster subs in a jensen ported box. I had a usacoustics 2channel amp putting out about 200watts through one channel (the other channel was broke but the one worked just swell). This pushed my subs pretty good but unfortunately it has recently decided to not work. It was a piece of crap anyway so now im in the market for a new amp. The subs are rated for 1000watts a peice. Any suggestions for a new guy? |

Ha man
I'm a Cadence person myself. What modle Beast subs are they last I recall the 10 were only the beast and the wild beast, the beast master where 12 and 15 The beast look like this ![]() the wild beast the beast master also could handle 1500 watts with 5000 watts blurps and are dual and quad voice coils Here is a link to cadence site SUBWOOFERS - Cadence Sound Systems, Inc. Also what ohm rating is the voice coil? But I would go with cadence amp....... |

I must have gotten bad information i just looked up my subs in the Cadence archives and yea theyre Beasts and they hold 500watts and 1000watts peak. Also it has a 4 ohm coil.
I found this amp on the Cadence outlet store. Let me know if this would be good for my setup. I would be running 300x1@4ohms TXA-1502 - AMPLIFIERS - Cadence Sound Systems, Inc. Last edited by rjb619; 03-20-2008 at 01:02 AM.. |

just remember you have two 4 ohm subs
the amp is rated at 75x2 @4ohm 150x2 @ 2ohm 300x1 @ 4ohm if you run the amp in two channel mode your subs will get 75 each if you run the amp in mono mode you will need to run the subs in series or parallel in series it will add the ohm rating of your subs giving you an 8ohm load cutting your bridged power in half to 150 not so good...In parallel it will net you a 2ohm load which will more then likely kill the amp... |

well if you were to buy two of the amp you were looking at you would be in ok shape
your subs RMS power handling is 500 you should always try and match your sub and amps so 500 watt rms sub 500 watt rms amp... since you have two 4ohm subs you will want to find an amp that is stable down to at least a 2ohm load and built specifically for sub..usually they are called mono block amps.... Im running a JL Audio 500/1 which will put out 500 watts to a 1.5 - 4 ohm load but the are very pricey... let me look around for a bit I will get back to you in a long minute if you have some time I suggest doing some reading up Basic Car Audio Electronics |
