Not sure of something

Hi all

Well I think that my start is with the door speakers and head unit. I have the Clarion DXZ545MP unit which is 52 x 4ch (208W) system with a Starmate 4 to replace the dodge basic radio.

My question is that the dodge 6 speaker system seems to use the door and dash speakers in parallel. If I add the Infinity 607CS or the 6020CS to the door will I have to remove the dash speakers? I would like to later add the Infinity 327CF speakers to the dash. In the specs for the Clarion it says the speaker impedance is 4 ohms (4 to 8 ohms allowable)

The final step will be to add the amp and 8 to 12" sub in the rear using the preouts but then I am not sure if I should use the factory 6x9 inputs or leave the 6x9's off the deck and upgrade the speakers to Infinitys

Any thoughts on this, I would love the input

No expert here by any means, but from your other post i gathered you have the base system witch in my case was only 4 speakers. Mine has nothing in the dash locations with the base system. You may be fine without worrying about it.

you can do a few things

1) replace your dash speakers as well
2) buy 8ohm speakers for dash and doors final impedance will be 4ohm
3) stick with your stock dash speakers replace the doors and call it a day it will be running in 2ohms (if the stock are 4 ohm) if your not cranking it hard all day you should be fine if your replacing HU and speakers is your goal to add amps later on? if so i wouldnt worry to much

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I will have a look for the speakers in the dash for sure. Also I will look for the 8 ohm speakers cuz if I do the math right the component system plus the 8 ohm speakers should keep the impedance between 4-8 ohms.
