Component install

I have a pair of Polk Component speakers I would like to install in my 07 SXT. I have the 4 speaker factory, so I am thinking I should just mount the tweeters in the dash since there are no speakers in there. Where is the best place to put the crossover?

you have a coupe ways

1) mount them in the door you can use the stock wire coming from the head unit then run a wire back through the door and up to your tweeter location

2) mount it under the dash you will have to re wire coming from your head unit to the crossover then from the crossover to the mid and to the tweeter

Anyone have pics of a tweeter mounted along the door trim? Curious if thats a good location. ( not sure what its called)

I mounted my crossover in the doors. As for the tweeters, I mounted them on the little "triangle" plastic thingy on the door. I would provide a pic but I'm at work right now...I can send you one late tonight.

great location.. i saw someone else mounted it on top of the lower speaker housing.. if that makes since.. right where the speaker cover part turns into the cubby hole..

LOL Truest, nice spot. Took the mmmm what is that called the "Gauge spot" and made it a tweeter home heh!
