Carputer & Sirius
Looks like there has been quite some talk about the carputer in the past but I had a question for those who have done it or those who have found the information I can't seem to find.
Thinking about doing the carputer thing, but since I'm a programmer, I've got to take it one step further and I'm planning on replacing my entire console with a ELO 12" touchscreen, but here is my biggest fear. I bought an 05' R/T in August '06 and it came with a 1 yr subscription to Sirius. Well, here we are almost 2 yrs later and they haven't cut it off yet (and I'm not about to call and ask what's up...haha). However, with the installation of a carputer, I'll be hocking the existing dash setup (navigation and all) and running everything off the carputer and I was wondering if anyone else has interfaced their Sirius with a carputer without having to call Sirius up? I suppose if push comes to shove, I can pay the $12.95/mo for it and get their help...but why pay for the milk if the cow is puttin it out for free ![]() |
