I have been trying to figure out what size speakers are in the Magnum. The only info I can find is 6x9 in the front dorrs and 6x9 in the rear shelf. I don't know if I believe its a 6x9 in the doors.
The base sytem in the magnum is 6x9 in the doors, 6x9 in the rear and 3.5 in the dash. I think the boston system may be different in the doors. The depth in the doors is an issue, you have to use shallow mount speakers or speaker spacers to put high quality speakers in there. I have Eclipse point source 6x9's in doors and rears with Eclipse se3.5 in the dash.
I work at a Car Audio shop and we did a Magnum with the Boston setup. Believe it or not, the LF door was a 6, and the RF door was a 6x9 (Don't ask me why, its weird); 3.5 in the Dash; And 6x9 in the Rear. I don't know if all Boston Magnums are like this, but I would assume they are. The Cars without the Boston setup are 6x9 in the doors and Rear; and the 3.5 in the dash. When doing your front speakers, to get the best possible sound in stock locations, I would suggest a 6" component set. Put the 6's in the doors (with 6x9 to 6 adapter plates if necessary) and mount the tweeters in the dash location.
The stock Bostons are 6x9 in doors and rear. Just took mine out today for some Almani 6x9s. However, gotta use brake line for my risers cuz the magnet is way too big. Ive only seen Alpine's 6x9s fit right in without any mods.
I have Polk Audio componet in the front 6-1/2+3" tweeterin dash and Polk 6x9 3way in back. I also put 6-1/2 2way in the rear doors and a 12" polk sub. With Alpine cd radio unit and 3 alpine amps. Sounds great, to us and plays nice and loud and clear.

Where do you mount the crossovers for the component system? Im going to go the same route with polk components. Thanks
greg you can look through the grill on the door to see.... mine (SE) came with 6.5 in the front and 6x9 in the rear...any upgraded system will have 6x9 all around except the dash speakers 3.5
and for some reason the factory did screw up a few rides 6.5 in one door and 6x9 in the other it shouldn't be that way
