Factory radio wap out

So I am finally ready to replace the factory radio and I go on best buy .com and select the radio I want (mostly to get specs)

Its the Kenwood 517
Kenwood - 50W x 4 MOSFET iPod®/Satellite/HD Radio-Ready DVD Deck with 7" Monitor - KVT-512

it says it wont fit the car ??????

I assumed any single din would fit with a dash kit and proper harness..Excuse the Newb question but I dont install radios...

Any help would be appreciated..I want to get my video on..

I would ask the install guys @ Best buy , Ask them If I buy this can you and how would you install it ? Let them tell you then.......be gone .

It might be too deep because of the retractable screen.

You should have no problem at all, i had more then enough clearnce installing my flip-out

FYI you can do alot better for the price then that radio... but its ur ride....

if you have any questions installing it hit me up, and ill walk you through it.

They are probably saying it doesn't fit because so many car today are coming with radios molded into the dash.

Crutchfield says it fits. Kenwood KVT-512 DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

Most likely says won't fit at best buy because it assumes you have sirius or Nav unit.

I get them all for cost so that wont be what I pay.(manager at BBY has a couple perks)..I used the "custom fit guide" and apparently no dvd player fits in the magnum ! I talked to the installer and he seemed like there was no problem.I am having the headrests hooked up too..

That radio will fit fine, it will just cover the air vents when the screen is out. I have the JVC NX5000 and it has the built in 3.5 inch screen and I have to dremel the indash kit for it to fit in properly. With the Kenwood, it's just a single din, not din and 1/2 or 1/4 or what ever, you'll be cool!
