hey bigal i went the same way with my CAI. I am financially strapped and i have to build mine 1 piece at a time. i even went as far as buing the holesaw kit that comes with all the grommets and such so that i can get a more professional look. it works and i have some bling under my hood too. i will have to post a pic when i am done and happy with it.

Another thread I missed somehwow --- anyway here's mine the MOPAR CAI
(5.7) -- Mrs.MadDad got it for me for Father's Day last year, Part # 77060003
Install took about 30 minutes, only problem I had was with the AIT Sensor. I broke the tip off the old one putting it in the new intake tube.
The CAI fits tight in the bay, making it a little tough to remove the filter (yes, I know it needs cleaning!) but the sound it produces is awesome and worth the trouble. The "butt dyno" reports gains in performance and acceleration but are not verifiable.
