CAI install pics for Ref of those thinking about getting one.
Think of this of a sort of review thread. What I would like to see is people who have gotten CAIs post pics of the install and a short review. Then post an offical link to the companies product. Not a link to the seller (Hammer being the only seller/designer is ok). As we all know all we have to do is Google the part number and get quite a few of the prices.
Simple install, under 30 min. I contacted them about the M.I.T. (intake tube replacement). The response was that there was no plans for one and they were not going to offer a product for a cost of around $100 that would not show any viable improvement over stock. You gotta love a company that thinks. I have noticed great sound when the secondary runners (incorrect term?) open up and feel a nice extra kick. The 3.5L guys know what I am talking about, there is an extra ummph at 4000ish rpm at WOT. MPG increase of about 2 mpg. I finally broke 20mpg (22.2) around town.
Sweet looking intake..I was not impressed with what anyone offered for the 2.7 it was either the chrome intake crap of ebay or some outrages priceed POS so i went with Spectre Performance it has the looks the sound and performance all rapped up with a reasonable price...and the best part its modular so you design it yourself anyway here is there web link and a pic of my creation: Spectre Performance
