CCFL Install **Complete**
Finally finished up the Lighted Grill Mod Here are some pics:
First of all I had to get a lot of tools because I never modded before I needed a socket wrench and butt connectors wirestrippers clampers etc I spent maybe around 70 dollars for the whole mod if I didnt have to get tools then I would have just spend the 21 bucks from Oznium.com Tools: ![]() Ok now I got all that (and i gripped a dremel off CL for 20 bucks for later mods =)) I started out on my journey at least thats what it felt like. No Experience what so ever thanks to the pics and everyone who helped me I know i was being a pest lol I personally was able to do this with just taking off the top screws on the fascia and the radiator vents my hand was long enough to pull back the grill put in the CCFL's and zip cord them and just pop them back in. ![]() Thats the easiest way to do it but there is a cost! War Wounds! ![]() Hope its not infected my hand still hurts? Anywho then came the wiring. Once again I know nothing of wiring thanks to everyone in chats/phones/inperson who helped ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I couldnt find out how to get thru the firewall but on my 07 Magnum I didnt have to remove a thing! just poped out the rubber thingy put wires thru and bam done. I have to use some regular tape later to clean up the install my crappy el tape didnt hold all the wires down on the inside heres the finished product ![]() ![]() ![]() Phew Finally got them done they look sweet not as bright as I would want them but still hot and I got alot of lights around my way so that probally contributes to it too lol Great mod im going to wire some more CCFL's and LEDs later inside and out ill post pics when I do! Thanks to Everyone ! Edit: I wrapped the extra wire around my E Brake for now where the switch sits till I figure out where I'm going to put it since I got the dremel im going to think of putting it in my ashtray but im now sure how to do fiberglass and stuff so we will see! Good job. Looks very good! That is one of the things I am good at wiring up lights and stuff! I have lots of them on my other rides but don't want to do it to my SRT. (I like it plain, just as it is.)
