i wanted to put some HID's on my mag , but i remember the problem my friend had when he tried . it was an easy install and it looked nice but when he turned the engine on a few seconds later the lights started flickering like strobes! i asked one shop and they said they had this problem on a dodge ram and the lights shut off when the engine turned on, th eowner later asked the dealer and they said $300.00 to reprogram your computer to allow it HID's he ended putting a relay and it worked!
just want to know will i experience this and hows the fix
It all depends on the HID kit you get. I got mine from Factor One Garage and they knew of the problem and had a special ballast for the magnum kits. Installed and works fine, no flickering. I know others have either installed a relay or hooked it up to a seperate toggle switch.
Hey Steve, would you happen to have the contact info for Factory One Garage and the model number for the lights? My buddy has tried 3 seperate brands and they've all burned out within a 3 month period. Just wondering if you've had any issues?

how is the relay hooked up? I have had a set of HID's in my Magnum for a while now and when I turn them on, they both don't go on together. I have to turn the headlight knob on and off a few times before they both come on at the same time. Its a pain in the ass but I figured it was just a bad ballast or something. Any help would be appreciated.
mrkrabs318, glad yuo brought that point up. I know of several people with the same issue, waiting on Steve to let us know if he's run into any issues, it could be that the one he got has no issues and they did a hell of a job on R&D..

No issues at all. I have 2 sets, one for low beams and one for the fogs. Been on almost 6 months now with no problems.
