FINALLY I GET SOME TIME AND DECIDE TO REMOVE DOOR TRIMS,DRIVER SIDE OUT LOOKS PERFECT,DRIVER REAR OUT,LOOKS PERFECT,PASSENGER REAR OUT PERFECT,PASSENGER FRONT DOOR TRIM OUT,NIGHTMARE STARTS...
COME TO SEE THAT ,PRE-OWNED VEHICLE I HAVE PURCHASED ,HAS A PAINTED FRONT DOOR THAT CHEAP BASTARDS DID NOT EVEN REMOVE THE DOOR TRIM TO REPAINT IT,SURE ENOUGH I HAVE 2 DEEP LINES OF PAINT BORDERS THAT WAS CAUSED BY THE TRIM.
A VERY EASY AND SIMPLE THING,TURNED OUT TO BE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
That sucks, Take it to a good car detailer and they should be able to buff with some paint thinner that should blend it in nicley. When i had pulled of my trim i didnt have any paint lines, but i did have to exverted dents that showed... Grrrr
Lines Are Too Deep, they Tried To Buff Them Out,no Chance.since Our Paints Are 3 Stage Paint,it's Not That Easy.most Likely Will Be Heading Down To Body Shop
Had a friend of mine Jason (AKA Sweeper6...SoCalRT you know the story) whose door was the same way, but found out it was like that from the dealership...Seems that some bozo put the trim on before the paint could cure, so the molding just sunk into the paint and when he went to remove his moldings he found the same thing...stealership told him OH WELL, so he just got a new paint scheme and body kit
I Think That's Where I Am Heading Towards, toojk It To 3 Body Shops ,estimates Were 900,1100,1050 .because Thay Said Thay Also Need To Blend In The Rest Of The Panels Too,so Smart Way Would Be To Get A Theme Or Design Going, now I'm In A Search For Who Can Do That.i've Heard Of A Place In Westminister,ca. Called Santini's Or Santoni's Something Like That
