if your fingernail catches on them when you run across it, pretty much know that they wont simply buff out. General rule of thumb. Depending on how deep they are, you can sand (I prefer with a DA) the affected area with anywhere from 800-1500 (the deeper the scratch the courser the paper), wet sand with 3000 then buff the problem area and surrounding panels to give similar sheen. In my shop I use pretty much all ppg and 3M materials, and 3M's perfect-it line of compounds is amazing. Can be bought at any oriellys auto parts or similar. You will want the ultra-cut for deep scratches, normal cut for mild scratches, then the gold label swirl removal for a final shine. Make sure to use a wool pad on the first step compound, and the foam pad for the swirl remover. Low speeds are key, becuase the faster its moving the more heat it generates, and the easier it is to burn through the clear completely

DaddyGoFast is gettin' serious now!DaddyGoFast is gettin' serious now!
Be careful with sanding. I have noticed the clear on these cars are VERY thin. 1 MAYBE 2 coats. Do not get too aggressive or you could burn right through the clear entirely.

I used some scratch doctor and did some very light wet sanding with 2200 and then 3000, and polished it out... I was scared to do it, but it came out great.... its allmost 100% perfect, there is one little line u can see and its only if u like straight down the car.
