Charger chin spoiler

I have noticed some of you guys have put the Charger chin spoiler on your Magnums. I am wondering what it takes to mod it to fit the Magnums.

The front of the charger comes to more of a point so you will need to cut a V into the middle to allow it to rap around the mag

Obsidian is an unknown quantity at this point
Here are some instructions I got from a local LX owner. I plan on installing mine this weekend.

Here goes...

You will need 4x "c" clamps, roll of 2" masking (or green) tape, ruler, a borrowed rivet gun for the factory plastic rivets (or if you opt for it, self taping screws 1/2"), 2x small self taping screws, drill and bit as described in the factory directions, small saw, and at least one friend.

The hardest part is the logistics, installation is less than an hour.

You will first make the saw cut on the inside backside center of the spoiler (the opposite of everyone else).

Then place the masking tape at the edge of the lower grille opening across to the edge of the driving lights, all the way across.

You will then take a ruler and mark several reference points approximately 1" down from the edge.

This is where your friends and your eyes will dictate the location. Make sure to mark a "center," very important.

Once you are satisfied, take your "c" clamps, opening facing downward, starting in the middle with one on each side of the center grille divider, have someone hold the spoiler up against the magnum, and place the clamp through the lower grille opening and clamp the spoiler "gently" against the front fascia. Then do the opposite side middle. After that, take two more clamps and do the same, except on the outermost part of the lower grille.

Doing this prevents having to take out the lower panel.

Next, take out your drill, and CAREFULLY drill all the holes EXCEPT the outer two, and the non-factory center two.

Once you have drilled the holes, then install the rivets (or self taping screws).

After this, you will now drill the holes for the outer "lip" of the spoiler.

Do one at a time and install the rivet or screw.

Remove the outer clamps, and drill two small pilot holes (1/8"), on the opposite sides of the center cut, at least 1/2" from top and center.

Install the small self taping screws, remove the remaing clamps, and admire your work.
