wheels..to go big or not
ive decided to not go the 20 inch 22 inch wheels with the mag..I mean they look great fill the wheel well nicely..but what about the 18's drop the car to the wheels?
IM not really willing to compromise performance for look..not having the hemi..i dont have ponies to spare.. so instead I have a trick idea with a set of rt wheels...stay tuned for pics in a week or two when im done |

I too have chose to leave my stock RT 18's (money issue & I like the look), and dropped the car with hotchkis springs....it looks very lean and mean!!
My pic is before the drop....will post new pics soon as well! Looking forward to seeing your pics!! |

i hope your not going to lower the car and then keep the 18 inch rt rims but change it to a lower profile tire like 40 series ? keep the tire thats on there thats what i did for awhile it looks sick !

no low profile...i haar you... I thought that would kinda defeat the purpose..might as well go with a big wheel then ..no, I was thinking since im getting the rims with no tires... of going big with the actual tires..like 275 18 60..fat ..thick...as I said before im not down with compromising performance for the look..the wide tires will give me some much needed stick to the road on corners..going to get the rims now!!..and then....shhh...not tellin you guys yet :P

Sorry kids...here ya go! Had to click the pics and compress'm to get'm posted!
Hotchkis springs only (not sure of part number but it's the only ones they make for the magnum rt/ chrysler 300). Sway bars are also available but the install on the rear is a MAJOR pain! Gotta lower the entire rear assembly to install the rear sway bar. The springs lowered the car about 1.5 inches and it handles like a dream!! Stiffened everything up but no harsh ride whatsoever....highly recommended!!! Stock wheels and stock tire size.... Last edited by HemiLover; 04-27-2007 at 02:18 PM.. |
