Difference between 2 & 3 coats of VHT on Tail lights
Hi all,
I have everything ready to go to tint my tail lights with VHT... The only thing that's holding me back is that I'm a little concerned that 3 coats of VHT may be too dark for daytime driving on sunny days...
Personally, the darker the better on a black car, but it's the safety part that concerns me... Will people behind me see my brake lights?
Does anyone have a photo or 2 comparing what it looks like with 2 coats and one with 3 coats of VHT? Or, is there that much difference between 2 and 3 coats?
Appreciate any comments or advice from you guys...
i put 3 coats on mine and they are dark. i would do what some other people have and do 2 coats and then tape off a little bit by the light and do a 3rd coat and then lots of clear that way it looks dark but you have a little bit more light coming through
