rollin and lookin good

I didnt take a lot of pictures ... when I did this I didnt have a lot a time ..... I had a little time in between getting ready for a wedding shoot..... Kept looking at the car and thinking...if it all goes right... ...hmmmm
Anyway... I decided to give it a shot. First... the front spoiler. Its from a charger... just like 36 Chambers but he had a little help... I had my big hands...LOL. I had to split the spoiler reinforcement in the middle to get it to give a little on the angle. They sent me plastic rivets... great... except the only people around here that seemed to ever heard of them is the dealer... and they didnt want to come off their plastic rivet gun. After several minutes of thought, I decided to use the blue plastic wall anchors.. figured if they didnt work... use bolts, nuts and washers. I used the anchors and they hold really snug...had to remember though...when tightening...they are plastic. Heres a quick shot of it mounted on the car...more later... ![]() I still need to clean up the fog lights on the front... but am waiting on the material I decided to use... thats another story and I will post the clean up as soon as I get it done... now to the rear. We did some lighting. I wanted to add just a tad of accent in the rear.... bought some ribbon lights... they are leds which come in various lengths... got them from ebay.... ![]() I ran the wire for the lights down thru the corner opening in the bumper cover right near where the hatch closes... there are probably a million different ways but I didnt want to take the cover loose... I tend to break things easy... anyway...dropped the wire down and grab from underneath... the took the plate light loose and tapped the wire from that so the lights will come on with the parkers. ![]() Just in case youre wondering where I mounted the leds.... when you open the deck lid, there is a vertical piece on the bottom... you can see a small piece of it when you have the hatch closed.... I mounted it up and down right there ... you cant actually see the lights in the daytime because they are actually behind the hatch...but at night it reflects off the bumper cover... actually looks like the lights themselves... more pics later. This is the guys store that I got the led ribbon lights from... eBay Store - Stuffport: Car Sticker 9 -20, Exterior Light, Car Sticker 1 -8 The front spoiler was OEM....I got it from a dodge dealer from Ohio. I guess I need to get the camera out with some time and bring my mag up to date. not a lot of mods...just some little things. Thanks Chambers for the help.... Thanks Hemi Lover for your help too.... and by the way...I did get that signal booster for the radio, the link you gave me ...will let you know how it works Last edited by chance6384; 10-01-2007 at 07:18 AM.. The led ribbon is a lot thinner than a light bar.. .flexible and has double sided tape that actually works. so you can actually round a corner with these ... not a problem |
