Well, I took the Mag into the body shop today to try to have the bubbles polished out and got nothin but bad news. The bubbles polished out just fine but still left "bubble marks" (if you catch my drift) on the door. The only way to completely remove is to have both doors completely repainted, yeah, thats not gonna happen!! No way is my queen gonna let me spend $600 to have the doors re-done. So it looks like im puttin the moldings back on for now. Just wanted to let yall that have bubbling know, keep the molding on unless you plan on having the car painted.
To my other question, I really would like to have the RT OEM moldings. The ones that have the chrome strip ya know? Brand new ones would cost me a pretty penny and I would have to have them painted to match. Any of you naked mo fo's out there have your OEM's you would wanna hook a honky up with let me know, and they are going to get painted so color isnt a problem as long as there in good shape.
have an 05 and WTF bubbling on 3/4 doors. You cant see it until you get close.. But I know its there so my goal is to get car painted!! I like the car without moldings...
No bubbles on mine, just white ghost lines, if it's an 05 and if you remove the moldings NOW it already messed up and rusted by now.
At least if you remove them you can clean it up, wax it, and re-apply the moldings with no gap between the top and bottom 3M tapes so that way crap won't get in there anymore.
I guess I am one of the very few who actually like the side molding.
I never had the urge to remove it because I like the chrome strip (goes with my bumper inserts).
