Simply99 is just warmin' up!
Paint doesn't match exact

So I bought my paint diect from Dodge and it is the correct color for my Mag but when I painted the eyelids and plate holder it isn't the exact same.

It seems like it is darker.

Anyone know why?

Did you spray with primer first? I used a grey auto primer first so that I wouldnt be trying to cover up black.

my body shop they would make the paint , then they would put a drip on the car to see if it needs to be added to, like madad said fading, they added a little bit of black to it and they got a perfect match, especially on the year of the car the older it gets

kermit's Sig: hey as long as it runs its all GROOVY!

There is a ton of reason why it couldn't match.

What color of Primer did you use?

The color of the primer depends on the shade of paint you will be using......

We also sprayed on some flex agent on the eyelids, before we primered and then painted.
